PengChiu Hsin was born in Tiensin, China in 1936. For almost fifty years, she resided in Taiwan and Hong Kong, but has lived in the United States since 1995. In 1960 while living in Taiwan, she started learning landscape painting from Master Pu Hsin-Yu, and specialized in birds and flowers under professor Chao Shoo-On. She has held personal art exhibitions in Taipei, Kaoshing, Toronto, Hong Kong, San Francisco and New York City. She has also participated in group exhibitions in Hong Kong, Seoul, Macau, Sydney, Beijing, Los Angeles and Tokyo. In 1980, she established Angela's Art Studio in Hong Kong, providing Chinese brush painting training to students. Over the years, the studio has gained considerable recognition in the Chinese art community. |
