Artist Bio
Artist:  Juliana Birkfeld
Biography:  Juliana Birkfeld was born and educated in Moscow, Russia, ultimately graduating from the prestigious Moscow Financial Academy where she majored in international Finance. Following graduation, she began training extensively in Fashion Design and Art, and continued developing her unique style upon moving to New York City. She achieved early success in the U.S and successfully launched her own line of fashion accessories in Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.

After relocating to Los Angeles, and inspired by the dichotomy of its lush tropical palette and arid landscape, Juliana resumed her true love—painting. She began creating a series of ambitious pieces in 2010 that are now being sold in galleries and private auctions in Los Angeles, New York and Maui, Hawaii. Juliana’s original pieces are celebrated for their strikingly unique designs, luscious textures and bold use of color. They have garnered the attention of the art world throughout the U.S. and are now being made available to art collectors throughout the world.

Statement:  When I paint, the depths of my subconscious emerge and I am free to explore its hypnotic language. Electric explosions of color, a dance of divine geometry, the mysteries of the universe revealed when my brush touches the canvas. I am inspired by nature, dreams and experiences that transcend words. The raw, majestic power of the elements. The miracle of birth. The perfumed kiss of a lover. The breathtaking landscapes of worlds beyond our own. In art we find the hidden dimensions of our soul…with each piece that I create, I hope to liberate those aspects.
