Artist:  Gao Qiang
Biography:  Mr. Gao Qiang was born in Nov, 1953 in Haiyang, shandong Province. Mr. Gao started to engage in the creation work of Chinese painting in 1988. He studied the painting of tigers afer Mr. Wang Daguan and Mr. Cao Huanyi. Since 1997, his works have been published and introduced in "China Daily" (overseas edition),"China's Calligraphers and painters Paper" and other newspapers. In 1998, China's Petro and Chemistry Company and China's Further Education Magzine published calendar of his chinese paintings of tigers.

Since 1998, Mr. Gao's paintings have been exhibited in Art Exhibitions of art galleries and museums including China's Art Gallery, China's Military Museum,etc. In the year of 2000, Mr. Gao's works were awarded the Golden Prize by "China's Artists List in 2000", Silver Prize in "China's New Century Calligraphy and paintings Art Exhibition", Silver Prize in "Kanghui Cup". In 2001, Mr. Gao was listed in "China's Talents Dictionary" edited by Chinese National Personnel Bureau and other talents lists.

Mr. Gao now is appointed as the member of Authentication Committee of China's Cultural and Art works by China's Culture Bureau. He is also the vice director of Artists Committee of China's Personnel Study, the member of China's Calligraphers and Painters Group, Honored Academician and Consultant of Singapore Art Insititute.

Statement:  Mr. Gao Qiang is specialized in the paintings of tigers. He adapts Chinese Painting techniques for his works in which the main theme is always tigers. In his paintings, the tigers are lifelike with rich expressions and different postures standing out by the set of rocks and pine trees. His tigers paintings are typical Chinese Ink paintings of wield brush.
