Artist Bio
Artist:  Tian YiPing
Biography:  Tian was born at Shengzhou, Zhejiang Province in 1963. Having been an art and craft designer for ten years, he was accepted by the Shaoxing Academy of Calligraphy and Painting in 1990 as a professional painter. Now he is a member of China Artists Association, Zhejiang Branch, sccretary-general of Shaoxing Artists Association. In 1993, he took an advanced study in China Academy of Fine Arts at Hangzhou, majoring in mountain and water painting. His main works are: "Green Mountains Shrouded in Mist and Clouds, won "Top-grade Award" in the 1st Shaoxing Youth Art Festival Painting Contest. "Spring Water Flowing Around Mildly", won "Second Rate Award" in the "National Qingteng Cup Painting and Calligraphy Big Contest". "View of Lanting", was sent to Japan for exhibition. "Murmuring of Mountains and Waters" won Excellent Award in the National Xize Cup Painting and Calligraphy Big Contest. "View of Clouds and Mountains" and five other works were sent to Amakasaki in Japan, exhibited on the Ink and Wash Paintings Exhibition; and two of them were published in a special issue of Ink and Wash Paintings Quarterly in Japan. "Moonlit Night" won Bronze Metal Award in the 2nd Zhejiang Youth Art Exhibition. "Early Awakening" won Sliver Metal Award in the 8th National Art Exhibition, Zhejiang Region, and was sent to China Art Gallery, shown on the 8th National Excellent Fine Art Works Exhibition. "Remains in Vast Stretch of Sand" and other four works were sent to China Academy of Fine Arts at Hangzhou, shown on the 1st Zhejiang Provincial Recommended Chinese Paintings Exhibition. His work is also published in the journal "Fine Arts".
