Prelude - Young Artists Joint Exhibition

Homeless Gallery will launch "Prelude - Young Artists Joint Exhibition" on June 22. The exhibition is held by ArtNetworking which has invited three young artists, Li Yaling, Liang Hong and Xia Cun. Artists' dreams and ambitions can bring them creativities and inspirations, which is very precious and needs to be encouraged. Fortunately, all these three artists have their own dreams and persistence. On the day of exhibition, they will be present to communicate with all participators, share their stories about creation and arts. We hereby sincerely invite you to join in this exhibition.

The so-called "Prelude" is in fact the herald of magnificent spectacles. Young artists are making a figure one after another, yet before they are known to people officially, there will definitely be a gestation period and a prelude stage. The artists in this exhibition are graduate students from Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. They are chosen for this exhibition because they are not constrained by academism style, but rather revealing different styles with personalizes characteristics.

Li Yaling, good at capturing daily scene of life, a very sensitive artist full of dreams, argued that one should insist to his own dream, pursue freedom and keep pure and sincere all the time. This group of her work exactly reveals her reflection and appreciation of childish innocence, which is a way to identify herself from the goodwill feelings in the abused life and an attempt to extract rationality from sensibility.

Liang Hong is greatly influenced in her creation by a large area of green land in front of her door in her Childhood. Grass has been a background and a language for her creation, only the content in the middle of her paintings are changing, showing that she is experiencing her life and growing, and she makes a record of her life path in such a different way.

Xia Cun is making an attempt to find a possibility to break down the fixed thinking mode, and always enjoying the observation of very single detail around her and turn these details into artistic languages, allowing people to notice the things which have never aroused people's attention before.

The most valuable thing is that though they are in a complicated artistic environment, they still have enthusiasm on arts and dreams, refuse to follow the tide and persist to explore their own styles. The preludes of their styles already start, and audiences can expect better and mature performance of them in the future.
