Shanghai, People's Republic of China – November 20, 2013 – "East accomplishment West achievement" exhibition opened on November 13, 2013, at Gensler. The event was presented by joint organizers ArtNetworking and Gensler. The work of the featured artists was accompanied with a beautiful musical opening that combined the classic sounds of Guqin with the oil paintings.
All the guests and Gensler's designers were very touched by our three artists' works and sounds of the Guqin, a seven-stringed instrument of great subtlety and refinement.
First, in a gallery of brilliant works, artist Wang Yizhou's painting of the mountain with forceful posture attracted the attention of many of the designers. Then artist Lin Xia's works, with symbolic exaggeration of images, shifted focus and resonated with everyone for its theme about busy weekdays. Finally, the artist Zhao Hang's work revealed his mysterious expression about the universe, the nature and inner observation, and caught the aroused the interest and imagination of the viewers.
The exhibition will be extended until December 17, 2013. You are very welcome to visit the exhibition by making an appointment in advance via Tel: 021-6275 8035.
